Campus. *12 Hour Shifts 7 PM to 7 AM or 7AM to 7PM. *30 days of full-time training is required for this role including 2 weeks of 8 hour dayshift class time.Wage + 4.00 per shift differential for evening shift. Job Qualifications: A minimum of an associate degree in nursing; or a bachelor’s degree in nursingA minimum of two (2) years’ experience in pediatric and/or public health nursing; orLicensed by the State of Ohio Nursing Board as a Registered Nurse (RN)An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Identifies and treats health disorders and provides medical and health care services that include; Physical health assessmentsWell-childcareSupervision of medicationResponding to physician’s ordersMedication education to clients and their families (caregivers)Dispensing or administering medication, assisting with self-administration of medicationMonitoring for side effects and adverse reactionsFirst aid careProviding other medical interventions, as needed. Ensures the maintenance of all medical/dental records; ensures accurate, appropriate, and confidential department record-keeping.Records immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health dataSchedules medical/dental appointments and transports children as needed.Obtains medication approval; orders medication and medical supplies, as directed.Serves as a resource person on health issues.Instruct residents in health education as necessary.Provides training to agency staff on universal precautions and communicable diseases.Provides staff training on dispensing medications.Attends clinical and treatment team meetings. Core Competencies HIPAA compliance at all times.Knowledge of medical/health assessment procedures, diagnosis and treatment planningKnowledge of child growth and developmentKnowledge of medical disorders and treatment responsesBasic knowledge of environmental and familial factors impacting growth, development and learningKnowledge of medical documentation and responsibilities*Basic knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatmentAbility to coordinate and facilitate medical services with other services provided in scope of treatment of clients.
