Why This Role Matters
The IT Systems & Support Specialist is not just supporting computers—this role underpins manufacturing uptime, e-commerce operations, employee productivity, and strategic technology initiatives.

Core Responsibilities
1. End-User Support & Training
- Provide Tier 1–2 support to office and manufacturing staff via in-person, phone, and ticket-based interactions.
- Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot PC, laptop, printer, scanner, phone, and peripheral hardware.
- Train users on systems, tools, updated workflows, and IT best practices.
- Maintain and enhance both technical and user-facing documentation.
2. System Administration & Infrastructure Operations
-Manage Windows/Office environments (accounts, access, licensing, updates).
- Support, maintain, and improve our ERP system (incident troubleshooting, configuration assistance, role/access updates).
- Administer network-connected devices (label printers, shop floor terminals, Wi-Fi devices, barcode scanners).
- Assist with patch management, imaging, device telemetry, and monitoring tools.
3. Manufacturing & Automation Technology Support
- Ensure minimal downtime in production environments by responding rapidly to equipment/system issues.
- Support technology used on the production floor:
Shop-floor PCs and industrial displays
ERP-integrated manufacturing workflows
Quality-control data capture hardware
4. Security, Compliance & Asset Management
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware, software, and cloud resources.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, including MFA, endpoint protection, and user awareness.
- Enforce IT policies and help develop new ones as the company grows.
5. Vendor & Project Coordination
- Partner with outside IT consultants and service providers; escalate issues where needed.
- Assist in planning and executing IT projects such as hardware rollouts, system upgrades, network improvements, and new software initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
- Solid understanding of PC hardware setup, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with office, shop floor, and management.
- Excellent time-management and prioritization abilities.
- Positive attitude, self-driven work ethic, and desire to continuously grow.
Preferred Experience
- Administering users in Windows/Office environments.
- Basic networking fundamentals (VLANs, DHCP, DNS, routing).
- ERP exposure (Epicor, NetSuite, or similar).
- Experience with SQL, scripting, or any programming language.
- Manufacturing IT or industrial technology support.
