Job Summary
This position is responsible for receiving inbound products from vendors, verifying shipment accuracy, and efficiently sorting and staging inventory for same-day distribution to retail store locations.
Key Responsibilities
The Allotment Team Member is responsible for executing daily tasks that support the timely flow of just-in-time inventory through the facility, ensuring 100% on-time delivery to retail locations. Core responsibilities include:
- Accurately receive, identify, and verify inbound allotment shipments; ensure quantities and product descriptions align with purchase orders.
- Inspect products and packaging to confirm quality standards, including checking for proper dating, defects, and damage.
- Collaborate with team members to sort, segregate, and stage products for outbound shipment to retail locations.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support special projects and perform additional duties assigned by leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in using relevant computer systems and software.
- Ability to solve routine problems involving a limited number of variables in standardized situations.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable attendance record.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands
The physical demands outlined below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for handling, grasping, and reaching.
- May occasionally be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Requires close and distance vision capabilities.
- Ability to work extended periods in refrigerated (approximately 34°F) and freezer (approximately -10°F) environments.
- Company-provided cold-weather PPE must be worn as required.
