JOB SUMMARY
The intern will assist with various projects throughout the assignment, including, but not limited to: Data Analysis, Departmental Assistance and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in data input and report analysis in finance, accounting, compliance, and other systems
  • Assist with stormwater account research and account validation
  • Prioritize assignments, use judgement to determine best course of action
  • Participate in finance and compliance activities
  • Navigate multiple systems for data input and analysis
  • Assist with departmental reporting

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

– Candidate must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or a related field of study.
OR
– Candidate may be within 24 months of graduation from Bachelor’s Degree program at the date of application.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must be able to work 24-30 hours per week. Working hours are Monday- Friday during normal business hours. This is a temporary position.
  • Candidate must be able to commit to up to a 12-month assignment with an option to extend the assignment at NEORSD’s discretion. This internship program provides for a time-limited role at NEORSD with no express or implied guarantee of future employment beyond the assignment period. This position is governed by all applicable NEORSD administrative policies, practices and procedures related to temporary employees.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record in accordance with the District’s acceptable guidelines.
