Job Description
Avery Dennison Performance Tapes has an immediate opening for an experienced Supply Chain professional to fulfill the role of a Supply Chain Specialist. This role will report into the Regional SM&L Manager and prepare business related analyses for Supply Chain, Materials Management, and/or Logistics (SML). The specialist will work closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain to track and manage Performance Tapes inventory. The specialist will also be responsible for managing inventory losses, external warehousing, safety stock analyses, and Customer Service Agreements (CSA). The role will fill in as needed to support the day to day operations.
In this important role you will be responsible for:
Responsible for managing overall inventory health and month end projections for Finance
Track, categorize, and disposition slow moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB)
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to establish, track, and phase-out Customer Service Agreements (CSA’s) when applicable
Perform regular deep dive analysis on current inventory positions and provide recommendations based on findings where there is risk or opportunity
Track external warehousing spend and identify opportunities to reduce footprint where possible
Prepare supply chain, material management, and logistics research for use in the development of business strategies and OGSM initiatives
Coordinate purchasing and scheduling activities for a specialized product line in our medical business
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting metrics to increase productivity and efficiency
Audit invoices to ensure that correct charges have been applied
Assist in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control
Participate or lead process effectiveness and continuous improvement projects
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure critical-to-quality requirements are met through the Supply Chain
Responsible for project management and milestone report outs
Health & Safety: Consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems
ELS: Continuously review current processes and search out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste, rework, and non-value added work
Teamwork: Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals metrics
Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or other related field with 2+ years supply chain/logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and all levels of management
Ability to understand needs of key partners and use expertise to develop or improve systems and key processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and ERP systems
APICS Certification desired.
Additional Information
The salary range for this position will be $66k-85k / year.
The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting.
