POSITION SUMMARY:

Residential Managers (RMs) will manage and supervise support services provided to Y-Haven residents during night and weekend shifts. Residential Mangers will supervise a team of 12-15 full-time and part-time Resident Monitors and Coordinators. The Resident Managers will provide support for recruiting, hiring, and training RA staff, enter payroll data, address staff disciplinary issues, and provide support and evaluations to RA staff. Resident Managers will lead their RA teams in providing a safe and secure living environment for Y-Haven residents, testing residents for drugs/alcohol, monitoring resident behavior, and performing scheduled medication monitoring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Hiring: Recruit and interview potential Resident Monitors assuring all vacant positions are filled expeditiously.
  • On Boarding: Ensure Resident Monitors are fully trained and on-boarded with assistance from Resident Coordinators. Provide staff skill assessment at end of on-boarding.
  • Supervision: Provide bi-weekly individual supervision to RA staff. Organize and co-lead monthly RA staff meetings. Keep a record of all supervision. Respond to supervisory inquiries. Hold staff accountable to “call-off” policy and serve as point-person for shift schedule.
  • Evaluations/Corrective Action: Provide regular staff evaluations, and disciplinary Counseling Reports as needed.
  • Continuing Education: Organize, oversee and track RA continuing training including Relias On-Line trainings, and in-person trainings such as Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
  • Assist with tracking of training and certification of RA supervisees.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide consultation and intervention to Resident Monitors and Coordinators during a crisis or situations that require additional supervision.
  • Staff Support: Organize staff support activities to enhance staff culture and cohesiveness.
  • Medication Monitoring: Provide training, support and oversite to RA staff in providing Medication Monitoring.
  • Offer support to residents by listening to, interacting with, respecting, showing interest in, holding accountable, and caring for each individual.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Associate or Bachelor degree required.

Experience:

  • Six months experience as a Resident Monitor at Y-Haven preferred
  • Demonstrated sound judgement when seeking additional supervision.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and to complete on-line data reports.
  • Familiarity with drug and alcohol addiction and 12-step recovery programs.
  • Physically capable of performing the job.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks successfully.
