Job Summary
The Golf Professional Support Assistant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day golf operations at company's Country Club while building skills and experience associated with a career as a Golf Professional. The role works under close supervision of the Golf Professional and performs daily responsibilities which include golfer registration and point of sale operations in the golf shop. The role assists with the execution and development of Events and Golf Association programs. This position is expected to work 40-45 hours per week.
Job Responsibilities
- Complies with all OSHA and company's safety/training/certification standards within required timeframes.
- Consistently reports to work on time and completes shifts, as scheduled.
- Performs regular operations of golf carts and/or other maintenance vehicles in order to accomplish other essential functions outlined above.
- Assists in the day-to-day golf operations at company's Country Club while building skills and experience associated with a career as a Golf Professional.
- Assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate golf events.
- Greets members, employees, agents and guests and provides immediate attention as necessary in accordance with the Hospitality standards.
- Promotes interest and assists with the execution of all Country Club golf related events and Country Club Association events including Men's League, Women's 18-Hole Association and Corporate Intramural Association.
- Schedules tee times, registers golfers and remains current and familiar with golf products and apparel to provide sales knowledge to customers.
- Assists in providing instruction with the company's junior golf program, corporate lessons and private instruction.
- Participates in the development of teaching programs as directed including junior golf and group lessons.
- Assists with all golf club repairs, relationship with outside vendors.
Job Qualifications
- 0 - 2 years of experience in Golf Course Management or a related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience.
