Operations Strategy and Process Improvement Intern

VTM Vending is a technology and AI-first startup operating at the intersection of e-commerce, automated retail, and logistics. This isn't a behind-the-desk internship. You'll be on the floor, in the warehouse, and at the table — actively contributing to fulfillment operations and leveraging AI tools to help us scale smarter.

About the role

As an Operations Strategy Intern, you'll be embedded in the full scope of VTM Vending's operations not just observing, but doing. That means hands-on involvement in our fulfillment process, from picking and parceling orders to identifying bottlenecks and building smarter workflows. We use AI and modern technology to drive how we operate, and you'll gain real, practical experience applying these tools to solve problems and support automation across the business.

What you'll work on

• Actively participate in and help lead day-to-day fulfillment operations, including warehouse work and parcel order processing

• Support end-to-end logistics workflows and take ownership of defined fulfillment responsibilities

• Use AI tools hands-on to improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and support automation initiatives

• Identify inefficiencies on the floor and propose process improvements backed by data

• Analyze e-commerce and marketplace operations to surface trends and opportunities

• Help build and maintain operational reporting tools and dashboards

• Take on ownership of at least one defined initiative from start to finish

Who we're looking for

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (any discipline welcome  supply chain, business, finance, or operations is a plus)

• Excited about AI and technology as tools to get real work done more effectively

• Willing to get your hands dirty — literally. This role includes physical warehouse and fulfillment work

• Curious, self-starting, and not afraid to take ownership

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment

• Strong communicator who can connect what's happening on the floor to the bigger picture

• Interest in e-commerce, logistics, or operations, prior experience is a bonus, not a requirement
