- Conduct research on land use, zoning codes, comprehensive plans, and environmental data to support planning studies
- Compile demographic, economic, and other relevant data for reports and municipal plans
- Perform initial review of site plans, subdivisions, and permit applications for compliance with local ordinances and municipal standards
- Prepare staff reports, memos, and technical summaries
- Support GIS mapping and data maintenance to illustrate zoning, land use, constraints, and proposed development
- Assist senior staff with fieldwork, site assessments, and photo documentation
- Assist with preparation of presentations, public notices, and meeting materials for planning commissions, boards, and public workshops
- Take meeting notes and provide follow-up documentation
- Work with cross-functional Verdantas teams including engineering, environmental science, transportation, natural resources, and survey
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Studies, or related field
- Internship or 0–2 years of planning, municipal, or consulting experience
- Basic knowledge of zoning, land-use planning, and municipal processes
- Familiarity with GIS and mapping tools preferred
- Strong writing, organization, and communication skills
Salary Range:
65000.00 - 67000.00
