Description

This position is responsible for the overall administration and configuration functions for all features of the Human Resources Information Systems. The HRIS Admin will provide technical support in establishing workflow processes that meet the business’ goals. They will be involved with all aspects of changes, including analysis, planning, configuration, testing, and implementation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform system administration functions for Workday and HRIS platforms, supporting modules such as Learning, Time Tracking, Benefits, and Integrations.
  • Build, test, and deploy changes to Business Processes, Condition Rules, and Eligibility Rules within Workday and other assigned applications.
  • Evaluate process and system improvements, regularly looking for opportunities to improve system performance. Work with business teams on those improvements, understanding their needs and assisting with converting ideas into actionable changes.
  • Facilitate the implementation of changes and external application integrations. This includes projects that relate to internal IT teams such as data, development, and infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance, ensuring the system is optimized and all necessary patches/updates are applied. Stay up to date on vendor system upgrades, ensuring the UHM instance remains within supported versions. This includes coordinating version testing, deployment planning, and executing upgrades as identified.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and technical support to meet business performance goals.
  • Support new request intake and backlog prioritization. This includes participation in various business prioritization meetings, providing regular status updates on assigned items, and assisting with defining scope and effort estimates.
  • Provide escalation support for help desk incidents and problems, assisting with the resolution of open issues. When necessary, escalate and manage issues through the vendor’s technical support teams.
  • Assist with user training, documenting changes being made and participating in training sessions.
  • Design and build custom reports using Workday tools such as Report Writer and Calculated Fields to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT teams to ensure data integrity and system alignment.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and HRIS vendors, managing day-to-day communications, issue resolution, system updates, service delivery, and roadmap requests to ensure optimal system performance and adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in computer science disciplines or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years of hands-on Workday experience.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS systems, employee data management, and HR processes.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proven experience in HR operations and HRIS administration, with a focus on Workday.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to gather and analyze requirements to assess client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.
