The Manufacturers Contact Representative supports customer projects through data collection and reporting to meet development timelines. The role manages focus evaluations for new tire development, builds strong customer relationships to gather accurate feedback, and helps communicate future customer needs to tire technology. The representative learns technical processes, develops supporting systems, stays current with customer and industry trends, and supports global Customer Engineering Solutions initiatives. They also collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure customer requirements are aligned with internal development goals.

What You'll Do

  • Measure and report focus‑test technical data for new development products to support TPL projects, and perform field tire‑performance competitor analysis while reporting results in a timely manner.

  • Communicate any competitor new or product‑development programs running in the field promptly.

  • Provide voice‑of‑the‑customer perceptions and comments to the appropriate teams in a timely manner.

  • Provide input and suggestions on improving efficiencies and strive to reduce turnaround time from tire placement to reporting results.

  • Work with the Customer Affairs/Product Service team on customer inquiries where appropriate.

  • Report product‑quality opportunities as early‑warning indicators, communicate customer‑performance opportunities through proper channels, and consult experts to recommend alternative products when needed.

  • Provide the NAT RMT sales team, specialty groups, dealers, end users, and sales/marketing initiatives with professional technical service on assigned product initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in an engineering field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In lieu of a degree, 7–9 years of relevant experience with strong product knowledge is acceptable.

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of technical field support, tire design, quality, or manufacturing experience.

  • Ability to translate technical information into a report for a broad audience.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment both independently and as a member of a cross functional team.

  • Excellent organizational skills: ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.

  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft suite.
