The Americas' Lead Financial Analyst will work on the month-end close responsibilities and quarter-end consolidated financial accounting and reporting activities to ensure compliance with all external and internal requirements. The Lead Financial Analyst will also work with other internal departments within Goodyear as well as accounting personnel from the Company’s international business units. If you have experience in leadership, accounting and auditing, this opportunity is perfect for you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate financial statement closing activities for Americas Region: Monitoring and communication of closing status, troubleshooting issues, performance of internal controls over financial statement close process.

  • Provide supervision for and review of select account reconciliations and journal entries monthly.

  • Monitor and review intercompany balances at month-end. Facilitate timely resolutions for all out-of-balance issues.

  • Perform various ad hoc analyses to support Goodyear’s business operations as necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA and/or an MBA or advanced degree in accounting is desired)

  • 5 or more years of experience in Accounting and Auditing (preferably in a large, public accounting firm or large manufacturing organization)

  • Experience with interpretation and application of current U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Standards.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, able to understand complex data and issues with demonstrated ability to think outside the box.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Working knowledge of SAP and Hyperion (desired)

  • People management skills (including excellent written and oral communication)

  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently (with minimal direction)

  • Ability to support accounting decisions with logical evidence and persuasively present position and respective journal entries.
