What You’ll Do
Lead Technical Effort on Engineering Projects: Manage multiple product and process development initiatives from concept to implementation.
Innovate & Improve: Evaluate existing technologies and develop new solutions that meet internal and external customer needs.
Mentor & Guide: Provide leadership and coaching to junior level Engineers, supporting their growth and project success.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with product teams and cross-functional groups to bring new technologies to market.
Translate Needs into Solutions: Develop experiment and validation to support simulation results to achieve product requirements
Champion New Technology: Drive the adoption of innovative tools and processes within Goodyear.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required (Master’s preferred).
6+ years of experience in product development, manufacturing or simulation in the tire or similar industries, required.
Proven success in leading engineering projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Structural FEA, CFD or heat transfer analysis.
Computer Science (e.g. machine learning, data architecture, data management, programming, “big data” technologies).
Experience with nonlinear FEA of polymer processing or CFD analysis of viscous flows and/or chemical kinetics
Proficient knowledge and usage of programming languages such as Python, C, C++ and Fortran.
Experience with working in a Linux environment and Bash scripting

Expertise in CAD for complex geometries.
Strong analytical skills and experience in solving engineering problems.
Familiarity with product development cycles and experimental design.
Experience in implementing new design tools for use by others is a plus.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience mentoring and training engineering teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across the organization.
