Are you called to serve Christ and others?
Do you believe God transforms lives?
Do you steward the resources God provides with wisdom?
Are you a team player?
Do you care for people, knowing all are made in the image of God?
If you answered “yes” to all those questions, then maybe God is calling you to join the staff at The City Mission!
For 115 years, God has been using the Mission to reach hearts and change lives. It starts with emergency shelter for men, women and children experiencing homelessness - but that is just the beginning. While with us, residents participate in holistic, gospel-centered services that include chapel, case management, group counseling, workforce development and job training.
In short, our staff are City Missionaries offering help and hope to all people through the transforming power of God’s love.
Right now, we are looking to add Resident Assistants to our team. This position reports to the Assistant Program Manager and serves as the hands and feet of Christ by providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for women and children as they begin their journey toward transformation at Laura’s Home.
As a Resident Assistant, you are on the front line of the Mission, maintaining security while caring for residents with compassion, grace, and dignity. If you feel called to serve others and make an eternal impact through everyday interactions, this role is a powerful opportunity for ministry and purpose.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Current open positions are full-time or part-time on 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm). Must be able to work every other weekend.
Before clicking “apply,” here’s the fine print: Ministry work is challenging. Serving people is challenging. And as each staff member is a minister of the gospel, we have high standards for personal conduct and hold sincerely to our statement of faith.
If you’re “just looking for a job,” this isn’t it. But if you’re being called to urban Missionary work, apply today to be a Resident Assistant!
Applications will only be accepted through The City Mission website (www.thecitymission.org/careers)
