Position Summary:
At this level, the associate can help develop new processes and recognize and solve most non-routine process problems. The associate at this level is more aware of the business and can make process improvements that reduce cost and/or improve quality and delivery. They may interact with associates in other functional areas and can oversee and assist with department development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoots common machine electrical and mechanical problems
• Identifies gas supply / mixture problems
• Develops / modifies existing simple weld schedules for new parts
• Understands and can weld complex process sheets
• Demonstrates the ability to improve processes to reduce setup times and cycle times
• Works on his/her own and helps answer questions from less qualified associates
• Works with related departments on his/her own (e.g. Tool Room, Engineering, Inspection)

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
• Good vision: Must be able to sustain effective visual inspection over an 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and annual Vision Acuity tests
• Lifting: Maybe lifting up to 25 lbs. frequently
• Manual dexterity: Must demonstrate manual dexterity required to properly handle products and gages
• Sitting/ Standing: May be required to sit or stand 8 hours per day. Must be able to move throughout the shop floor to gather samples, moving parts, etc.
