The Customer Development Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with chain store buyers, market managers, and division managers for increased sales of Company products. Job Duties

  • Make outside sales calls and presentations to buyers for assigned chain accounts.
  • Maximize the availability of Company products in accounts through distribution management.
  • Foster a consultative relationship with chain buyers to maintain and grow rapport.
  • Analyze data from available measurement resources, including internal sales data, Nielsen reports, and IRI, to determine market conditions and influence chain sales trends.
  • Deliver results while maintaining the highest level of integrity.
  • Execute Company and Supplier driven strategies and programs.
  • Execute strategic priorities to position and maintain key brand growth.
  • Coordinate with key account supplier representatives to establish retailer goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement beer, wine, and low proof sets consistent with company standards designed to improve sales, distribution objectives and product placement.

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with business, management, or marketing focus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in space planning preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience of aggregate chain account sales responsibility preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Strong personal leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, VIP and other business systems.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and the ability to travel within region.
