Description

Suncrest Gardens is seeking a motivated and dependable Lawn Care Technician to join our Maintenance Division. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn about lawn care and maintenance while supporting our licensed applicators. You will assist in applying treatments, maintaining equipment, and performing general lawn care tasks for our residential, commercial, and HOA clients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed applicators with the application of fertilizers, herbicides, and other lawn treatments (no pesticide license required; all applications performed under supervision).
  • Perform basic lawn maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, and cleanup.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
  • Help maintain equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are clean, organized, and functional.
  • Follow safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed.
  • Assist with turf inspections by reporting visible issues such as weeds, pests, or damaged areas to the lead applicator.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to clients while on site.
  • Support the team as needed with tasks assigned by the Lawn Care Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License with minimal moving violations.
  • Previous lawn care, landscaping, or outdoor work experience required
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
  • Positive attitude, dependable, and a team player.
  • Ability to adapt to new processes, techniques, and equipment.
