Job Description

Supervise TPWs for core 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. Directly responsible for all houses for one assigned shift to provide direction to all program personnel. Responsible for setting up adequate coverage in compliance with all labor contracts for each up-coming shift, based on established guidelines and house minimums. Schedule coverage for appointments (e.g. medical, dental, sitter coverage, etc.). Tally up and summarize all extended hours and overtime hours used per shift on each set-up sheet. Canvass for extended hours and overtime according to contract.
In log book, log all extended hours, overtime hours, staff breaks, lunch hours, staff breaks, lunch hours, and call offs. Log UIRs in log book and notify QIDPs and Manager on call of all UIRs. Sign off on missed punch book. Investigate unusual incidents. Write fact finders for AWOLs. Post work area assignments for staff at each time clock. Complete all exception sheets, extended hours and overtime rosters, shift reports, census sheets, and linen count on 3rd shift. Authorize overtime slip. Assist with Attendance Office duties.
Notify staff of cancelled doctor/dentist appointments. Make arrangements in emergency situations for residents to go to the hospital. Contact Med-Search for sitter coverage.
May serve as direct care staff in order to provide minimum safety levels under emergency circumstances. Make rounds on the residential units where the RCS or QIDP is on duty

Qualifications

24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in providing care to patients &/or in participating in development &/or carrying out of patients' habilitation plans & preferably for those who had developmental disabilities or mental disability, & in implementing & carrying out same.
