Customer Service Representative

Pay: $24/hour

Assignment Length: Up to 6 months (anticipated late Fall–early Winter)

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional Saturday (rotational, approx. once per month): 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
    • Time off provided during the week when Saturday hours are worked
  • Potential to work until 7:00 PM with at least two weeks’ notice (flexibility preferred but not required)

Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative provides high?quality support to customers and the general public by phone, written correspondence, electronic means, and in person. This role involves handling customer inquiries, processing transactions, and supporting basic accounting and administrative functions in a fast?paced, customer?focused environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and informational services to customers via telephone, written correspondence, electronic communication, and in person
  • Process transactions related to customer accounts, including payments and account activity
  • Accurately enter, research, and retrieve customer and account data using computer systems
  • Prepare correspondence related to delinquent invoices and other business needs
  • Reconcile payments and account balances; post invoices and cash receipts
  • Review and invoice customer accounts electronically and/or in paper format
  • Analyze reports and expenditures and process accordingly
  • Identify and correct errors involving data entry and mathematical calculations
  • Accurately identify license plate numbers, state codes, vehicle types, and related details
  • Serve as back?up support for accounting and administrative functions as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Customer Service Supervisor or Manager

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of inbound call center or customer service experience
  • Ability to work with multiple systems and applications simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately perform mathematical computations
  • Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
