Immediate Opening for Welder/Fabricator.

Full-time heavy MIG welder with experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees
  • Must be able to work collaboratively alongside others
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including lifting 50 lbs. and walking/standing for extended time periods
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

  • Ability to recognize and solve typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval
  • Detailing structural steel-drilling/cutting holes and slots, coping, notching per engineering drawings
  • Continuously improve the processes by working with the management team for more efficiency
  • Analyzes drawings and specifications to plan welding operations
  • Proficiently uses all tools related to the welding process.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, and make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed
  • Perform basic housekeeping to keep work area clean and safe
  • Perform duties assigned

Experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • 3 + years of welding heavy steel
  • Welding Certification from a Vocational School or College
  • 5 + years experience as a Mig welder
  • 3 + years of overhead crane/rigging experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required
  • Must have excellent attendance
