This position is 12-month Co-op experience for the Marketing Department in Industrial Wood Division. Interns will be assigned to a specific team within the department and complete a project where they will have periodic reviews to evaluate their performance. This opportunity will allow them to gain experience in work groups and other Marketing professionals at Sherwin-Williams. The Candidate will support the Industrial Wood Division Marketing team across a range of activities including preparation of new product commercialization, preparation and support of marketing resources, and various data analytics related projects.

The Marketing Co-op opportunity support product launches, marketing initiatives, and data analytics projects while gaining hands-on experience with Sherwin-Williams' Industrial Wood Division. Works alongside marketing professionals, contributes to meaningful projects, and builds valuable industry skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have a high school education or equivalent
- Must be a current college student pursing a Bachelor's degree or higher
- Must be a current college student at the junior, senior or grad school level
- Must have availability to work at least 37.5 hours per week during the summer months
- Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week (3+ days) during the school year with flexibility based around school schedule
- Must be able to travel at least 10% of the working time and provide support at Sherwin-Williams' MGTC Brecksville location when required
- Must have at least one (1) year experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have a Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing or related field
- Have an expected graduation date of Winter 2026 or anytime 2027
Product/SKU Creation
Evaluate new product requests for accuracy of information and partner with product managers for final approval.
Collaborate with cross-functional team members for follow ups on urgent requests
Finished good label creation and revisions
Align with the regulatory and creative services teams to finalize proofs and ensure compliance
Product/Color Database
Ensure all requests capture key details and partner with the R&D team for product compatibility prior to approval
Submit new product requests forms per the business needs
Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and flow maps as necessary for critical business processes
Partner with the product management team and other functions to validate relevant information. Organize the documents in a central repository for improved access.
Streamline sales and customer reports tailored for product management analysis while consulting with the finance team
Partner with the Product Management, Segment and R&D teams to align product positioning
Provide insights and recommendations for SKU rationalization based on sales analysis
