The ‘Financial Analyst – Cost Accounting’ position is a key member of the Enterprise Finance Global Cost Accounting Team – which holds global responsibility for costing-related functions across our Regions and ERP platforms.

This position will be primarily responsible for supporting the Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle 11i ERP, which will support the EPS, PKG and COIL commercial groups. Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to the development of annual standard costs, monthly maintenance of STND costs, 11i and Cloud system maintenance, monthly accounting entries, results reviews and variance explanations, and other strategic projects – notably assisting in implementation of the Cloud ERP. The position will work regularly with SW business units in the creation and explanation of standard costs and monthly financial results, driving transparency and profitability for our commercial groups.

This position is not hybrid/remote and will be located at our Global Headquarters in Cleveland, OH.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a focus in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years of finance and/or accounting experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

Preferred:

  • Experience with the Oracle Cloud ERP or Oracle 11i ERP
  • Experience in standard cost development and monthly variance accounting
  • Experience working cross-functionally and multi-nationally
  • Standard Costing methodology & monthly variance accounting

Travel: 10%


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Annual standards development for material and conversion costs for manufactured and purchased items, including mid-year re-rolls as required.

  • Maintaining STND Cost Scenarios in Cloud ERP

  • Contribute to the BIOS Cloud Design & Implementation project, including finance participation in SIT, UAT, and cutover activities related to the Cost Accounting function.

  • Calculate and book a variety of cost-related journal entries in support of monthly financial close, including but not limited to purchase price variances, inventory revaluation, manufacturing absorption, batch variances, and other similar concepts.

  • Review month end results, assisting with explanations and root cause analysis of fluctuations vs. Actual or Plan – such as standard PPV, Batch variance, and Absorption analysis.

  • Maintain various aspect of 11i and Oracle Cloud, including but not limited to daily cost errors and holds, product setups, account mappings, and cost changes.

  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations such as PPV, REVAL, and capitalized variances.

  • Assist with audit requests, as assigned.

  • Role will support the transitions onto the Oracle Cloud platform and have other ad-hoc responsibilities as required.
