Reporting into the Digital Email Manager, within the Sherwin-Williams Global Architectural Marketing Division, the Email Operations Specialist will have a passion for email and providing cutting-edge digital automation solutions by utilizing the newest technologies. This position will focus on Enterprise level ESP administration, collaboration with creative teams, email quality assurance, sending compelling email campaigns, A/B testing and analytics reporting.

The Email Operations Specialist will play an integral role as an email subject-matter advisor to a multitude of cross-functional teams such as digital, brand, creative, social, data, IT & agencies. Success will be achieved by building strong partnerships and providing best-practice email solutions to iconic brands like Valspar, HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams, Krylon, Minwax, Cabot, Dutch Boy, Dupli-Color and Purdy.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing

Preferred:

Familiarity with Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Adobe suite knowledge

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

2 years in Email Marketing

2 years experience with Marketing Automation Platforms/Marketing Communications

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

Experience using email & automation marketing platforms

Ability to utilize Workfront and JIRA platforms in order to manage project tasks

General exposure to various digital disciplines including social media, SEO, and analytics

Familiarity with content strategy, process, creation, and publication


Core Responsibilities

Thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.

Proficient at creating new email marketing campaigns within the Global Architectural Marketing Division ESP. To include trigger campaigns, promos, newsletters, product launches and reengagement initiatives.

Assist in leading deployment of emails within marketing automation programs.

Strong aptitude for becoming an expert at configuring audiences and flows within Sherwin-Williams Enterprise level ESP. This defines day, time of day and specific audience segments that emails will be sent out to.

Performing A/B testing and providing recommendations to the digital team, brands, agencies, and creative teams. The outcome of A/B testing will help us to optimize future emails and increase email performance.

Execute email quality assurance reviews, prior to email campaign deployment, that includes cross browser/device testing in Litmus, segmentation validation, email link verification and ADA compliance review.

Competence in mining email data from Sherwin-Williams Enterprise level ESP, to provide brand teams with email performance metrics, such as deliverability rates, click through rates and unsubscribes, as well as partnering with the Sherwin’s data team (DDX) to track post-email journeys on Global Architectural Marketing websites.

Serve as the subject-matter expert and deliver recommendations on email trends in order to help brand teams evolve touchpoints across the omni-channel.

Work with creative agencies and internal creative teams to develop appropriate creative for emails and engagements that drive to brand.com sites.

Providing support and troubleshooting to our clients (Global Architectural Marketing Brand Teams) to ensure they’re satisfied with the email services they’re receiving from the digital team.
