The Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting in strategic new paint product initiatives for PSG, Lowe’s, IBU and Menards. This includes supporting key innovation and new-to-market product launch plans. This position will support the lead Product Manager and work closely with cross-functional teams.

This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113.

Marketing Specialist - Paint

Preferred:

  • Relevant marketing experience

  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of application of all Microsoft Office Suite Products

Required:

  • Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of the marketing mix

  • Self-starter

  • Leadership skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to motivate cross-functional teams

  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects

  • A strong desire to work in a fast-paced and demanding team environment.

  • Successful track record in project accomplishments to drive the business forward

  • Excellent decision making and analytical/problem solving skills


  • Coordinate product testing in lab and in field.

  • Assist in label & product commercialization process.

  • Help in development and analysis of new product roadmaps.

  • Analyze market and sales information to support new product business plans.

  • Support new product commercialization through established Stage Gate process.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (ie. Sales, Product Excellence, Customer Marketing, etc.) to identify product improvements and new product opportunities to meet end-user/segment needs
