POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field
Preferred:
- Junior or Senior status or working towards a Master’s Degree in Business with a focus in Human Resources, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Knowledge of basic fundamentals of job descriptions either through a prior internship or employment or acquired through coursework
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to utilize Excel to track data
- Must be a self-starter, service-oriented and able to work with minimal direction/supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience using Microsoft Forms, Sign Up Genius, or similar tracking software.
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to analyze data

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
This position provides comprehensive HR support and coordination related to a wide variety of HR activities. Primary areas of responsibility include onboarding new hires, management of employee files and data, managing the Company’s employee parking programs, and supporting event planning needs for the department. This intern is expected to perform responsibilities by using appropriate tools, resources, and procedures to inform Headquarters HR leadership. Groups serviced include active employees, managers, HR business partners, and coordinators.
(1) Main Responsibilities:
- Leading weekly onboarding sessions for new employees
- Supporting the completion of the I-9 process for new hires
- Employee File Management and Digitization
- Management of Company’s Employee Parking Programs
- Monitoring the shared Corporate HQHR email inbox
- Supporting Event Planning activities
(2) Other Responsibilities:
- On occasion, this position may be asked to complete other responsibilities such as department administrative duties (e.g. answering the phone, welcoming internal & external customers, etc.)
- Supporting other HR processes and projects as necessary under direction of manager or other members of the Corporate HR team.
This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113.
