Detailed Job Description

Plastics manufacturer and injection molding service in Berea is looking for a Material Handler! Responsibilities include supporting the production department by providing the necessary raw material and service to produce a quality product. Walking/standing on feet is required for 7 hours per 8 hour shift. Pushing and pulling is essential to this position. Lifting/carrying with the ability to balance is essential to this job. This position is physical and requires repetitive motion and disassembling grinders for cleaning purposes. Bending/stooping/kneeling continuously is essential for job functions. Must have the ability to visually inspect material for fine details on a continuous basis as well as the ability to read and comprehend written and computer instructions and the ability to write legibly to carry out job responsibilities. 2nd shift is 3:30PM-12:00AM Mon-Friday, starting pay rate is $17.75 per hour.

  • Observe all requirements for ISO 9001.
  • Follow all safety rules and requirements.
  • Must be certified as a forklift operator and maintain an active Driver’s License with the State of Ohio.
  • Use hand tools safely and correctly.
  • Must be able to comprehend weights, measurements and ratios.
  • Keep an ongoing inventory of raw material used and remaining.
  • Collect and dispose of all trash and other waste material.
  • Keep work area clean and maintained at all times.
  • Interact and communicate with other personnel and departments to maintain and improve quality.
  • Once identified by the supervisor through performance and evaluations that your job knowledge is at an acceptable level, you must train new employees thoroughly when needs are identified.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
  • Supply necessary material to molding machines.
  • Prepare raw materials to be used in production.
