Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, performance, and follow-up of inventory system processes associated with current WMS and ERP. Serves as a point person for all WMS and ERP system issues and situations related to the Valley View warehouse. Responsible for providing pro-active communication and feedback to DC warehouse employees and educating them current WMS and inventory processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Performs daily cycle count.

2. Assists with tracking down inventory discrepancies by checking product locations and verifying piece counts.

3. Assists in maintenance of accurate bin location integrity and performance of necessary stock movements.

4. Performs daily documentation of product received into XCOL and passes this information on to Damage Assessment personnel.

5. Maintains and updates daily cycle count log and scoreboard for Columbus.

6. Reviews Open Transfer report to Columbus warehouse and rectifies any discrepancies.

7. Performs and maintains daily Columbus transfer exceptions.

Administers, monitors, and / or performs daily reconciliation of cycle counts and inventory discrepancies.

Reconciles and investigates daily branch exceptions and determines root cause and corrective / preventative actions.

Ensures daily imbalance report is efficiently managed to a page or less by compiling data from current WMS receipt manager, physical packing slips, current ERP.

Monitors and investigates stock adjustments and determines root cause and corrective / preventative actions.

Monitors, investigates, and corrects daily ERP/WMS errors regarding receiving, shipping, and inventory transactions.

Supports accounting and purchasing departments by ensuring that all P.O.’s are received in a timely matter and before vendor discount opportunities expire.

Updates the following spreadsheets:

Inventory Adjustment Log

Exception / Discrepancy Log

Cycle Count Log/Scoreboard.

Ensures all our WMS Cartons are shipped.

Performs WMS order manager tasks as needed.

Decision Making Responsibility/Authority:

  • Receives general direction working from established policies and objectives. Employee plans and carries out assignments and resolves most conflicts that arise. Completed work is checked only to determine feasibility and compatibility with other work, or effectiveness in meeting objectives of the unit.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Warehouse experience
  • Inventory control experience
  • ERP, WMS, and general computer skills
