Job Description

Service Center Managers at Rad Air are responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of their shop, managing a team of automotive technicians, and ensuring that clients have an exceptional service experience. Service Center Managers set the tone for the shop’s work every day, and are expected to lead their team by exemplifying Rad Air’s franchise standards and four golden rules.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Open shop for business, which includes making sure loaner cars and lobby are cleaned and prepared for the day in accordance with Rad Air Franchise standards.
• Conduct daily morning and afternoon meetings with technicians to review the day’s work and set expectations for the day’s goals.
• Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with technicians to review individual goals, development, ongoing training needs, and performance metrics.
• Answer phones during business hours to assist clients with appointment scheduling, provide business information (location, hours, etc.), and address general inquiries.
• Work with technicians to develop solutions to vehicle issues and complete repair orders in a timely fashion.
• Develop repair order estimates based on client concern(s), identified maintenance needs, and OEM recommended maintenance plans.
• Communicate needed repairs, costs, and timeline with client and receive permission to proceed with repairs.
• Perform vehicle delivery process with client, which includes collecting payment, explaining services performed, and reviewing warranty coverage.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attend franchise, community, and neighborhood events as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of five (5) years of service writing or service advising experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College degree is a plus.
• Clean driving record.
