As a senior manager underwriting for the Commercial Lines organization, you’ll advance the growth of our Transportation Workers Compensation product by refining and implementing underwriting strategies in collaboration with senior leadership. You’ll lead and mentor an underwriting team, ensuring alignment with performance goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll incorporate data-driven insights for effective risk assessment and rate setting, while collaborating with internal and external partners to drive business results. Additionally, you’ll evaluate operational strengths and weaknesses, implementing initiatives to enhance team effectiveness and support organizational objectives.

  • This is a remote role
Must-have qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a minimum of seven years of property casualty insurance experience, including at least four years in a leadership role (e.g., supervisory/management role)
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher with a minimum of 10 years of property casualty insurance experience, including at least four years in a leadership role (e.g., supervisory/management role)
Preferred skills
  • Strong leadership and people development skills
  • Proven strategic approach to evolve underwriting into a repeatable, consistent function
  • Process-oriented with sound, analytically based decision-making ability
  • Strong insurance and Underwriting background with Workers’ compensation experience within the transportation space
  • Strong communication skills
Compensation
  • $112,300 - $160,400/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
  • Participation in our restricted stock units plan
