PPS is seeking a detail-oriented Quality and Packaging Technician for our century old manufacturing operation in Parma, Ohio. The employee will be tasked with a detailed final inspection and packaging of delicate medical equipment to be shipped to business partners according to specifications. This is a full-time, permanent, direct hire role with excellent benefits (on-site gym!) and room for advancement!
Responsibilities:
- Clean, inspect, and package delicate and/or complex components following detailed work instructions, customer specifications, and company policies.
- Ensure daily schedules and goals are met as established by the Packaging Technician Manager.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness for all packaging equipment and workspace areas, following strict sanitation and product-handling procedures.
- Document inefficiencies and other production issues and collaborate with team members to resolve them promptly.
- Coordinate with the Quality department to ensure process parameters, inspections, and testing comply with regulatory and company requirements.
- Accurately complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain focus and efficiency while performing repetitive or detailed tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with consistent follow-through.
- High level of personal responsibility, reliability, and ownership of assigned work.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient computer skills for data entry, documentation, and use of electronic reporting tools.
- Comfortable performing repetitive, precise, and task-oriented work in a controlled manufacturing environment.
- Experience using microscopes and/or precision measurement instruments highly preferred.
