PPS is seeking a mechanically inclined Stamping Press Set-Up & Operator at our metal fabrication facility in Parma! The Stamping Press Set-Up & Operator is primarily responsible for setting up and operating multiple stamping presses.

This is a full-time, permanent, contract to hire position with second-to-none benefits including profit-sharing bonuses, PTO, 401K matching, tuition reimbursement, and an on-site gym!

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operate numerous stamping machines within the department.
• Perform tooling changes based on job order specifications.
• Read blueprints and/or written instructions and load raw materials into machine.
• Maintain an eye for quality on all parts produced on the machine using visual inspection and precision measurement instruments.
• Attendance and punctuality are a critical job function.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• Two years of prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Possess the ability to be trained to use blueprints.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal directions and retain information.
• Hold themself accountable for a high level of performance.
• Pay close attention to detail and have ability to use measuring tools.
• Work efficiently and demonstrate the ability to multitask.
• Communicate clearly, effectively and professionally on all levels.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
