Our partner is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to support daily scrap metal and material handling operations. This role is ideal for an operator who is comfortable running large equipment in an industrial, outdoor environment and takes pride in safe, efficient work.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and material handlers
• Load, unload, sort, and stage scrap metal and materials
• Support yard operations including processing, stockpiling, and shipment preparation
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and PPE requirements
• Work collaboratively with yard personnel and supervisors

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial or outdoor environment
• Background in scrap, recycling, steel, construction, or demolition preferred
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
