As a Portfolio Analytics & Strategy Group Manager within PNC's Data, Model & Analytics Line of Business Model Risk Management and Administration organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, New York or Washington DC.This role leads and supports key work across model governance and lifecycle operations support, model risk reporting, and team coordination for the First Line of Defense. It is a highly connected role across the enterprise and works closely with modeling teams, risk partners, audit and regulatory teams, and senior leadership to improve processes, clarify responsibilities, strengthen reporting, and support the business through changes in operating model, policy, and organization design.
Role Overview:
• Providing guidance and setting strategy for the first line model risk management framework, reporting and related processes. Creating strategic plans for the process, communication and governance team that fit into the overall goal of the first line model risk management.
• Identifying process and governance gaps throughout the enterprise related to the first line model risk management.
• Maintaining strong partnership with model validation and the internal audit teams, being involved in variety of processes changes and topics related to model risk management.
• Being involved and actively contributing to the agenda of committee meetings.
• Connecting with diverse stakeholders and business leaders at the enterprise level to promote first line model risk management activities of the team.
• Overseeing model operations activities, such as model inventory updates, annual review processes, decommissions, issue follow-up, and other of the model lifecycle activities.
• Guiding the development of management reporting and summaries used to support modeling leadership and risk partners.
• Partnering with the business leaders and technology teams to improve tools, processes, and ways of working, including support for system enhancements and tracking improvements.
• Understanding current regulatory and internal guidance and driving enterprise-wide progress on models, analytical tools, and Gen AI / Agentic frameworks.
• Supporting audit and regulatory readiness by coordinating responses, reviewing documentation, and helping ensure that processes and inventories are current and clearly documented.
• Providing day-to-day guidance to modeling teams and helping them navigate model lifecycle requirements and related governance expectations.
• Leading a team of five+ employees, and related team management activities such as hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance feedback, and helping build a strong and engaged team.
• Leading efforts to define and improve roles, responsibilities, and governance practices across model-related work, including support for the entire modeling community, such as model owners and model developers.
• Balancing strategic thinking and hands-on execution, working effectively across many teams, and bringing clarity and organization to complex work.

Job Description
- Provides financial and regulatory reporting and analyses to maintain adequate controls over the financial and regulatory reporting processes. Responsible for running complex business performance, risk and operational analytics. May include the development of analytical methods/models to assess market, credit and/or operational risk of new and existing financial products.
- Leverages business / product expertise to rigorously analyze large datasets, improve risk adjusted returns, deliver profitable growth, and communicate conclusions. Synthesizes analytical results and develops, recommends, and implements business strategies that improve lending decisions, assist in managing risk, increase revenues, reduce exposure to losses, meet business goals, and improve performance. Establishes baselines for strategies and tracks actual performance to expectations.
- Applies predictive models, third party data, and other tools to develop and execute appropriate segmentation and targeting for acquisition and portfolio strategies to provide insight into portfolio risk. Manages engagements with internal and external information suppliers ensuring solution is fit for purpose while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight.
- Understands and communicates regulatory and financial accounting impacts on the balance sheet to regulators and PNC control functions as appropriate. Interacts with regulators, internal audit, and management concerning credit portfolio analyses and credit risk appetite.
- Evaluates market conditions and peer bank behavior to identify internal and external trends and issues affecting credit risk and return and to determine appropriate risk limits and optimal portfolio allocation.
- Collaborates with the line of business, Finance, and Risk partners to assess and establish credit risk appetite and to understand its implications, as well as to establish policies and procedures governing the identification, monitoring, and management of risk appetite.

Base Salary: $100,000.00 – $261,950.00Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.Application Window
