| Job Summary: Responsible for the oversight of all warehouse operations which includes, but is not limited to: fulfillment of orders, training, supervising and scheduling warehouse staff, ensuring that delivery trucks are accurately and punctually loaded, scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments, proper and accurate storage of all products and materials, maintaining product quality, maintaining accurate records of warehouse inventory and advising purchasing of inventory status. This position will support the needs of a “Best Practice” business system as it applies to receiving, materials movement and stocking as well outbound materials shipping. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Performs cycle counting to verify accuracy of inventory records.
- Supervises the receipt and stocking of delivery inventory.
- Monitor return of product (damaged, wrong product, expired, etc.).
- Proper operation of warehouse equipment (for example, the freezer) and promptly reports problems to maintenance and Executive Management.
- Coordinates activities for maintaining the orderliness, proper location, rotation and security of the stock.
- Ensure warehouse staff follow all other established procedures applicable to the warehouse.
- Responsible for the execution of the policies and procedures related to: material transactions, material moves, accurate inventory stocking, MRO stockroom management, pick, pack, ship, interplant transfer truck logistics and floor stocking.
- Responsible for effective management of employees to include: identifying proper staffing levels, onboarding, initial and on-going training, insure the following of proper workforce policies and procedures including safety, time and attendance, discipline and reward structure management. Achieve high employee engagement levels via: on-going employee interaction and communication, sharing goals and objectives and vision with the team and identifying, problem solving and resolving constraints and bottlenecks that keep Material Handlers from being successful.
- Oversee and manage the placement of the inventory, record the location of inventory, locate and stage inventory for customer pick-up time, on-time, manage the yard capacity, i.e., identify constraints to Executive Management, insuring movements are made with no damage to the finished goods inventory. Communicate known damaged finished goods to Executive Management.
- Execute scrap/recycling via: segregating by material type (wood, different types of metals.
- Identify material handling equipment needs, coordinate preventative maintenance required to existing equipment. Material handling equipment includes, but is not limited to: racking, forklifts, yard trucks, dock locks, levelers, dock doors, scales, handheld scanners, etc.
- Troubleshoot and execute unresolved problems as appropriate.
- Identify continuous improvement & strategic opportunities in: employee relations, improved procedures, cost reduction, inventory control and accuracy, meeting growth objectives of Stoughton Trailers.
- Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely and accurate and highly productive manger according to company policy.
- Collaboration with key stakeholders, focusing on main customer (operations) to insure alignment of goals, objectives, and resolving of bottlenecks and problems that prevent accurate and timely parts placement.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: - A 4-year degree in business management or related field
- 3 – 5 years prior management skills is helpful but not required
- Proven experience as a shipping manager can substitute education
- Strong analytical skills

- Experience directing and evaluating subordinates
- Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
- Work a flexible schedule
- Prior knowledge of DSD distribution systems a plus
Physical Environment: - Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Work in high elevations, confined spaces, extreme heat and / or extreme cold.
- Operating a forklift
- Must be able to perform independently and as part of a team.
Working Environment: - Environment: Industrial bakery setting with exposure to hot and cold temperatures, loud machinery, and the smell of baked goods.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, hairnets, and safety glasses must be worn as required.
