Job Description

What You'll Do:

We are looking for an experienced Application Development Supervisor to lead our .NET development team in building and maintaining modern, high-quality web applications.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will supervise a team of .NET developers, manage sprints using Azure DevOps, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and performant on-prem, cloud-based and Low-Code applications. You will combine technical expertise with strong people leadership to drive team performance, foster collaboration, and deliver business value through agile practices. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of .NET developers (including senior, mid-level, and junior developers)

  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle for on-prem, cloud-hosted and Low-Code applications

  • Manage agile sprints, backlogs, and ceremonies in Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines)

  • Ensure high-quality code delivery through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to best practices for on-prem, cloud and Low-Code environments

  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions for on-prem, cloud-based and Low-Code applications

  • Oversee architecting and guiding the implementation of new features and enhancements

  • Monitor team velocity, remove blockers, and continuously improve development and deployment processes

  • Work with developers engaged in hands-on coding in support of critical deliverables or complex technical challenges

  • A solid knowledge and understanding of software development processes, procedures, user acceptance testing methods, and tools is important. This includes but is not limited to Agile and Waterfall software processes, version control methods, Microsoft Office, high level languages like SQL, HTML, HTML5, JSON, MS Power Apps networking methods and API integration

  • Enforce coding standards, security best practices, and performance optimization

  • Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and technical training for the team

  • Perform other duties and work on special projects

Qualifications

7 1/2 years (90 months) experience commensurate with job duties to be performed & knowledges & skills required as outlined in approved position description on file for position to be filled as advertised in job posting; 12 months experience in performing project management functions as defined in series purpose.

-Or completion of undergraduate core coursework in computer science, or completion of undergraduate core coursework in any academic major which included at least one course in each of the following: advanced-level computer programming language (for example, Cobol, Delphi, Java, Powerbuilder, Visual Basic, Pl 1, SAS PCS, Pacbase, Full Visual Suite, Designer 2000, Developer 2000, C, C++, Visual C, ECL, or Visual Studio), logic-based mathematics, data base concepts (for example, Oracle, Microsoft Access, Paradox, Sybase, IMS DB, DB2, Cache, DMS, or RDMS), computer systems analysis & design, & basic data processing concepts; additional 5 1/2 years (66 months) experience commensurate with job duties to be performed & knowledges & skills required as outlined in approved position description on file for position to be filled as advertised in job posting; 12 months experience in performing project management functions as defined in series purpose.
