Job Description
Performs unskilled labor & minor maintenance duties (e.g. shovels snow; loads & unloads trucks; mows grass; cuts weeds; hauls trash); Loads & unloads trucks for Central Storeroom. Assists Maintenance department with spreading salt, operating manual equipment (e.g. snow shovel, salt spreader) to clear walkways; Picks up debris & other items around all buildings (i.e. paper, glass, pallets, etc.) to provide a safe & sanitary environment;
Performs indoor general labor duties: moves, organizes & stores all incoming & outgoing furniture & equipment, (e.g. washers, dryers, etc.); sets up tables, chairs & floor coverings as requested by work order; move records (medical, human resources, program etc.) to various areas as requested by work order
Assists with housekeeping duties (e.g. sweeps, mops, dust, wax and strip floors, cleans windows). On a monthly basis cleans all hood filters and lights in a building. Picks up & delivers (e.g., soiled & clean laundry, boxes, residential unit supplies.) Drives hand truck, plow trucks, lift gate truck. Operates housekeeping equipment (buffer, propane buffer, vacuums, scrubbers and wet & dry vacuums, etc.). Assist maintenance workers on jobs as needed/requested

Qualifications
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. In accordance with Section 124.11 (B)(2) of Revised Code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.

The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Rule 5123:2-2-02, “Background Investigations for Employment,” outlines disqualifying offenses that will preclude an applicant from being employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
The final candidate selected for this position will be required to submit to a urinalysis prior to the appointment to test for illegal drug use. A candidate with a positive test result will not be offered employment.
Unless required by contract/ORC/OAC, starting rate of pay will be step 1 of the assigned pay range
