Job Description
What does a Housekeeping Manager 2 do?
- Plans & manages housekeeping program for residential facility
- Develops procedures & standards for housekeeping activities
- Conducts inspections of completed work to ensure all sanitation & safety standards are met & academy is clean & in addition to one of preceding options, supervises lower-level custodial/housekeeping staff
- Oversees & assists in inventory control
- Approves supply & repair requests & prepares requisitions
- Prepares weekly, monthly & quality assurance reports
- Acts as liaison with other departments within agency or facility
- Advises management of housekeeping needs
- Attends meetings; serves on committees
- Cleans furniture, walls, windows, floors, fixtures, equipment, removes trash & makes minor repairs to equipment &/or furniture as needed.

Qualifications
18 months' training or 18 months' experience in cleaning practices & procedures AND 12 months' training or 12 months' experience in supervisory principles/techniques AND 12 months' training or 12 months' experience in inventory control.
OR
Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
Job Skills: Custodial
Hourly wage will be paid at step 1, unless otherwise specified by collective bargaining agreement or rules outlined in the ORC/OAC.
The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Rule 5123-2-02, “Background Investigations for Employment,” outlines disqualifying offenses that will preclude an applicant from being employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
The final applicant selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to the appointment to test for illegal drug use. An applicant with a positive test result will not be offered employment.
