The Manufacturing Engineer manages engineering projects from inception through successful completion, working with internal teams, suppliers and customers. Successful engineers are excellent communicators and able to lead/manage multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Leads and manages one or more engineering projects related to production operations
  • Works closely with various stakeholders to identify business requirements, streamline processes, and ensure the effective use of technology to achieve business goals
  • Works collaboratively with technical, manufacturing and other internal staff
  • Interacts with customers, vendors and suppliers

Skills and Experience:

  • Project management experience required. Must have the ability to manage a project from inception to successful completion.
  • Three or more years hands-on engineering experience in comparable role in med device, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing
  • Experience with machining processes and the manufacturing of small, tight tolerance, metallic parts is preferred. These may include: CNC machining, laser machining/laser cutting, finishing, shape setting, and/or electropolishing is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline required (biomedical, chemical, materials, or mechanical preferred).
  • Experience with fixture design and fabrication is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001: 13485 preferred
  • Experience with Solidworks, MiniTab, MS Office, Teams and similar business tools required.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required, with the ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with others. Must be able to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to staff
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting abilities essential
  • Must be able to work effectively in fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects to successfully meet deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative and drive to organize and manage projects to successful outcomes
  • Position is on-site/in office
