About the Quality Engineering Tech

The Quality Engineering Tech works in a support role, with Quality Engineers in the manufacturing environment to ensure compliance with quality systems, processes and procedures. Successful Quality Engineering Techs are detail oriented, organized,
results-driven and excellent communicators.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Creates and maintains quality planning and process documentation such as IQ process/system, RMA processing, FMEA updates, control plans and process flows.
  • Assists with GR&Rs, line report updates, and review of raw material.
  • Coordinates required third party testing
  • Provides other support as needed in the quality engineering department.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum two year technical degree in an Applied Science such as Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing Technology.
  • Comparable hands-on work experience in manufacturing or technical organization creating technical documents, performing investigations and/or inspection planning preferred. Experience may have been gained during an internship or co-op experience.
  • Experience in visual work instructions helpful.
  • ISO 13485 and/or FDA 21CFR 820 experience preferred.
  • Must have strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Access.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of CNC machining, gauges, measuring tools, mics, comparators, vision systems, CMMs and other metrology tools preferred.
  • Must have outstanding communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized, analytical, demonstrate attention to detail, able to meet deadlines.
  • Position is on-site/in office
