Summary


The Business Engagement Advisor is a customer-facing member of NOPEC’s Ennovate Team, responsible for cultivating strong relationships with businesses within NOPEC’s new and existing customer portfolios. This role engages both new and existing customers through a consultative approach to energy advising, with the goal of delivering tailored energy solutions that align with customer needs. The Business Engagement Advisor serves as a trusted resource, drawing on NOPEC’s network of energy partners to present options that provide meaningful value. This individual guides clients through the selection and implementation of energy services and supports the contracting process through to completion. Success in this role depends on strong communication skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to work independently while maintaining precision and organization in all customer interactions and records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following:

• Interface with potential and existing commercial and industrial customers to introduce NOPEC and its suite of energy products and services. (50%)
• Establish and maintain long-term customer relationships to gain trusted advisor status on utility and energy-related matters. (10%)
• Capture and manage customer data within CRM system, ensuring accuracy and timely updates. (5%)
• Analyze customer needs and energy usage to develop customized value propositions and present pricing options. (5%)
• Facilitate the execution of bilateral energy supply agreements with customers. (10%)
• Submit completed contracts to administrative teams for processing. (10%)
• Maintain ongoing communication with customers to introduce new products, services, or solutions and ensure timely renewal of contracts. (10%)


Other Skillsets & Responsibilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to a variety of audiences.
• Strong computer proficiency, including experience with CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated self-motivation, drive, and a high degree of professionalism.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, tasks, and timelines with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Physical Requirements
• Sitting, standing and bending.
• Ability to use office equipment including but not limited to office copier, shredder, computer equipment, audio/visual equipment.
• Ability to speak in a clear and easily comprehensible manner.

Background
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the energy sector, sales, or a customer-facing advisory role

Working Conditions

• Incumbent will work in a hybrid office environment. Incumbent should understand the expectation that this job periodically requires a 40+ hour per week commitment.
