Position Summary: The IT Manager leads the organization’s information technology function, ensuring reliable, secure, and cost-effective delivery of IT services for 24x7 operational environments. This role manages IT staff and vendors, oversees infrastructure and systems, supports business applications, and partners with leaders to align technology priorities with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: · Lead, coach, and develop the IT team; assign work and manage performance. · Build team capability through training, clear expectations, and consistent execution. · Own day‑to‑day IT operations, including help desk, infrastructure, cloud services, identity/access, backups, and monitoring. · Ensure service availability and timely resolution of incidents. · Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures (acceptable use, asset management, change management, incident response, etc.). · Manage cybersecurity program elements including patching, endpoint protection, and incident response. · Maintain tested backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures. · Plan and manage the IT budget, lifecycle replacements, and vendor contracts. · Track spend and optimize total cost of ownership. · Manage vendor relationships and contracts (MSPs, telecom, hardware/software providers) and ensure service levels are met. · Lead or support IT projects (system upgrades, migrations, new application rollouts), including scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder communication. · Partner with business leaders to understand needs and translate them into technology roadmaps and prioritized work. · Maintain accurate documentation (network diagrams, system inventories, procedures, and configurations). Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). · 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role. · Hands-on knowledge of core IT domains: networking, endpoint management, identity/access, cloud services, backups, and troubleshooting. · Experience implementing and maintaining security controls and IT policies. · Strong vendor management, budgeting, and project coordination skills. · Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with Microsoft 365 administration · ERP system leadership experience · Experience supporting manufacturing or 24x7 operational environments · Experience with EDI · Experience with RFID Skills & Competencies: · Leadership: sets direction, builds trust, and develops talent. · Customer service mindset: responsive support with clear expectations and follow-through. · Problem solving: diagnoses issues methodically and implements durable fixes. · Planning and prioritization: balances operational needs with project work. · Risk management: proactively identifies and mitigates security and operational risks. · Documentation and process discipline: maintains standards and repeatable procedures. Working Conditions / Other: · Requires occasional after-hours or weekend work for maintenance windows or incident response. · Participate in an on-call rotation. · Work may include lifting and moving IT equipment (e.g., PCs, monitors) and working in server/network closets. · Travel between sites is required based on business needs.
