Job Title: Pre-K Lead Teacher. Job Type: Full Time. Merrick House, with a five star rated early childhood program, is seeking a lead pre-kindergarten teacher to guide the day-to-day classroom activities and operations and enhance the children’s development to best prepare them for future educational experiences. Responsibilities: Ensure that the classroom is setup with defined learning areas and provides a safe, healthy environment; write lesson plans; assess children’s development; conduct assessments and screenings; primary contact with parents (daily), conduct two parent-teacher conferences and weekly observation notes. Necessary qualifications: Combination of education and experience represented by a Child Development Associate with Pre-K endorsement; Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred; 1–3 years’ experience working in a preschool classroom preferred.
