Position Overview: Margaret W. Wong and Associates is seeking to hire an experienced and highly qualified immigration litigation attorney to grow our legal team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in immigration law, with significant experience appearing before the Executive Office of Immigration Review, Immigration Court.

Margaret W. Wong and Associates has seven (7) offices nationwide and exclusively practices immigration law. Candidates must have an ability and desire to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regularly appearing in Immigration Court for master calendar and individual hearings, in person and by WebEx.
  • Prepare, review, and file applications with Immigration Court and USCIS
  • Research and interpret existing laws and regulations and anticipated changes to laws to guide informed decisions and reduce risk.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on immigration matters before USCIS and Executive Office of Immigration Review, including reviewing with clients on incoming scheduling orders, decisions, and advising on next steps.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication with clients

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in any state
  • Excellent writing, organizational and research skills required.
  • Applicants need 4 years of litigation or immigration experience.
  • Strong academic credentials, including graduating class in the top 10-15%, of law school or with a GPA 3.5 or higher. Diligence and organizational skills necessary.
  • Bilingual a plus
