LUNA BAKERY CAFE- Moreland Hills Cafe

We are looking to hire at our Moreland Hills Cafe location.

Moreland Hills hours of operation are:

Monday - CLOSED

Tuesday-Friday, 7am - 3pm

Saturday & Sunday, 8am - 3pm.

Shift hours fall in the range of 6am - 4:30pm.

About Luna Bakery Café

Luna Bakery Cafe was built on a simple belief: real food and genuine relationships matter. We craft scratch pastry, savory food, and local coffee daily and serve it in cozy spaces designed to make guests feel welcome and cared for.

Since opening in 2011, Luna has grown to multiple café locations and a Midtown production facility that supports our pastry, custom cake, and sugar cookie departments. As we grow, we remain deeply committed to quality, hospitality, and enriching our community.

We close at 3:00 PM daily, offering flexible schedules without late-night restaurant hours. We value growth and love promoting from within.

Position Overview

Front of House Staff are the heart of the Luna guest experience. This role is responsible for creating warm, genuine interactions while maintaining the high standards that define our café.

You will work as part of a collaborative team — cross-trained in multiple positions — ensuring that service runs smoothly and every guest feels valued from the moment they walk through the door.

This position reports directly to the Front of House Manager and shift leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service

• Provide exceptional customer service and create genuine connections with guests
• Take and fulfill customer orders accurately using the POS system
• Maintain strong knowledge of menu items and ingredients
• Ensure quality assurance of savory food, pastry, and beverages before serving
• Run food to tables and assist guests as needed
• Handle questions or concerns with professionalism and care

Teamwork & Café Operations

• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service
• Support expo to ensure orders go out correctly and in a timely manner
• Restock dry goods and front-of-house supplies as needed
• Assist with opening, restocking, and closing responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café
• Adapt quickly to changing needs during busy shifts

• Arrive on time for all shifts and meetings
• Adhere to dress code and workplace policies
• Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Work weekends and non-major holidays as needed
• Remain calm, positive, and solution-oriented in fast-paced environments
• Demonstrate a team-first attitude and willingness to learn

Qualifications & Skills

• 1+ year of hospitality or service industry experience preferred
• Passion for scratch food, pastry, and local coffee
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly, self-motivated, and dependable
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
