The selected student worker will assist with maintaining the LCCC student garden plot located at Baumhart Berry Farm, 2200 Baumhart Road, Vermilion, Ohio. Responsibilities include watering, weeding, and harvesting crops as needed throughout the growing season.
This position offers flexible scheduling and requires coverage for approximately 2 workdays per week at the farm location. Work must be completed during the farm’s regular operating hours. Duties may include weeding and maintaining raised garden beds; harvesting crops when ready; monitoring and reporting any issues related to deer fencing or other garden needs; and assisting with additional tasks related to the raised-bed garden as assigned.
The ideal candidate should be dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Required Qualification: Must be currently enrolled as a LCCC student, have reliable transportation to Baumhart Berry Farm, dependable attendance and punctuality, strong communication skills, ability to report issues or concerns as needed, and ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications: Interest in gardening, ability to work independently and manage time effectively, and comfortable performing outdoor physical work in varying weather conditions.
