Post date: 5/9/16This newly created position is specifically designed for the proactive financial services professional seeking both long-term personal and professional growth. Initially, the candidate will report directly to the Founder/President. After a brief orientation, the candidate will be given responsibility for hands-on client interaction, under the guidance of the Founder, who has a substantial track record of training and mentoring leading financial advisors throughout the United States. The expectation is that the right candidate will eventually advance to the point of taking over some activities from the founder completely, allowing the founder more time to concentrate on strategic Company initiatives rather than client acquisition.Responsibilities:- Act as liaison with existing client base and staff to help provide the highest level of customer service.- Coordinate meeting preparation and follow-up action items with other staff members.- Prepare and deliver account summaries to clients.- Interact with clients to gather profile data, discuss implementation of financial plans that align with clients’ goals, objectives and risk tolerance.- Generate market research that will assist guidance of the client base through the complexities of today’s ever-changing financial climate.- Potentially visit with the firm’s 401(k) and corporate clients.- Occasional local travel to one/all of the Company’s 7 Northeastern Ohio locations.- Periodic attendance of the Company’s popular evening educational programs.- Identification and development of niche sales and marketing activities that can generate new clients, qualified referrals and/or organic growth from existing clients.Basic Qualifications:- 4-year bachelor's degree.- 3-5 years of experience in financial services or a client-facing professional environment- Series 7 registered representative.- Basic but strong computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.- Project a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.- Desire to eventually become one of the firm’s full-time registered financial advisors.Additional Qualifications:- Flexibility to Multi-Task. Candidate must have the ability to gain the trust of the firm’s most important clients, but also be willing and able to successfully execute even the smallest details, such as coordinating securities related paperwork with staff.- Strong Cultural Fit. The successful candidate must fit seamlessly into the Company’s highly entrepreneurial and team-oriented culture.- Positive Office Influence. The candidate must possess the ability to gain the respect of office peers and subordinates, partially by demonstrating he/she has no hesitation taking on new challenges and a desire to learn new skills and improve professional performance.- Candidate will be required to obtain their Ohio life and health insurance licenses by the end of the first year of employment. (Required courses and materials to be completed on employee time)- Desire to earn other professional designations such as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) a plus.- Familiarity with social media and how to use it to successfully promote branding also a plus.
