Since 1975, L’Arche Cleveland has been a community rooted in inclusion, respect, and shared life. We are part of a global movement that creates spaces where people with and without intellectual disabilities live, grow, and celebrate together. At the heart of our community are our core members: individuals with intellectual disabilities who are at the core of our mission. Alongside them are our assistants, who choose to share life alongside them, as well as our dedicated volunteers, supporters, and board members. Together, we form a diverse network committed to creating a more caring and loving world where the rights and dignity of all people are respected and embraced. What makes L’Arche unique is our emphasis on relationships of respect and mutuality. The simplicity of daily life—sharing meals, celebrating milestones, and supporting one another—is the foundation of our community. At L’Arche Cleveland, we believe that health and safety are just the beginning; a truly meaningful life comes from belonging, friendship, and joy.
