KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Infrastructure Monitoring to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the product owner for various infrastructure monitoring tools, ensuring they are properly managed and administered
- Maintain the availability and reliability of network monitoring solutions, optimizing them for maximum effectiveness; apply implementation methodologies to enhance the effectiveness of network monitoring systems and processes
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure monitoring tools are integrated effectively within our network infrastructure
- Develop and implement best practices to get the most out of monitoring tools; provide strategic oversight on network monitoring strategies to support organizational goals
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations; mentor and guide junior staff on utilizing monitoring tools effectively
- Facilitate regular tool performance analysis and generate reports on network health and performance; lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to monitoring tools, minimizing downtime and impact
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of recent experience in infrastructure monitoring and network management; strong experience with infrastructure monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, LogicMonitor, or similar solutions
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; certifications related to network administration, such as CCNA, CCNP, or relevant industry certifications are preferred
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including IP subnetting, BGP, OSI model, TCP/UDP; demonstrated knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with light scripting with Python, Perl, Bash for automation and tool enhancement; prior experience with Azure and AWS virtual network devices, including setup, configuration, and management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing network performance issues; strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for technology and infrastructure management; previous experience in managing infrastructure in a hybrid or cloud environment is preferred; self-starter with the ability to work independently, taking initiative to solve problems and enhance network performance
