Full job description

The Kowalski Heat Treating Company is a family owned commercial heat treating company located in Cleveland, Ohio. The Kowalski Heat Treating Company has immediate openings for experienced Heat Treating Operators / Vacuum Furnace Operators / Salt Furnace Operators. The Heat Treat Operator is responsible for the operation of salt bath furnaces, vacuum furnaces, bathes, quenches and cleaning systems to thermally process metal components in a fast paced team environment. Responsibilities include:

  • racking parts for processing
  • reading production schedules to determine production sequence and temperature requirements
  • loading and unloading vacuum furnaces
  • loading and unloading salt bath furnaces
  • examining parts to ensure conformance to customer specifications
  • assisting in hardness testing
  • entering customer information in order tracking system
  • maintaining neat and orderly work area at all times
