Primary sales support to commercial business development in all segments in generating revenue from payment services. Works directly with clients to determine payments needs including system and software applications. Serves as Go to Market (GTM) Sales liaison. Leads team to develop, negotiate and finalize and execute payment solutions. The Solution Consultant role offers a unique opportunity to use a blend of business development acumen and product expertise and is designed to enhance the sales process while serving as a liaison between Business Development, Clients, Product Management, Operations, Onboarding and Vendor Partners.

The Healthcare Solution Consultant is a specialist focused on a specific set of treasury management, account receivable and revenue cycle management products in the Healthcare Vertical. This individual is a product and process subject matter expert, a sales professional, and a team player willing and able to provide sales support related to his/her assigned products. This individual works closely with the National Payment Advisors (PA), Product Manager, Client Managers, Vendor Partners, Operations and Implementation teams to advance the team’s sales effort.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Payments Advisor throughout the entire sales cycle process, owning stewardship of the client experience by partnering in complex or sensitive implementations and onboardings where necessary.
- Upon agreement by the client to move forward, translate business requirements to internal and external implementation teams and help define a roll-out strategy.
- Conduct and validate process and needs assessments in order to perform tailored and effective product demonstrations, create pitch materials and deliver proposals either remotely or on-site at a prospect’s location.
- Manage and drive the dissemination of client insights, competitive information, technical product needs, solution enhancement requests and solution updates to appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain industry knowledge and expert status; remain current with internal and external product development and innovations.
- Collaborate with internal and external/vendor partners to develop, drive and execute on specific go-to-market business development strategies. To include good fit clients, pricing strategy and targeted offerings.
- Join Payments Sales Advisors in discussions with prospects or clients in order to validate the business needs, architect the solution set and present the offering. Including arranging for vendor assistance on sales calls and or conducting web demonstrations.
- Manage the sales pipeline for assigned segments/industry verticals, keeping pulse on opportunities, activities and stages; report as needed to internal leadership and vendor partners.
- Advance the prospect’s decision-making process by creating a compelling reason to buy through defined marketing messaging and the presentation of KeyBank’s value propositions.
- Share and implement best practices across the KeyBank sales organization and across the entire Solution Consultant team
- Assist with crafting content related to healthcare solutions for RFP responses.
- Maintain industry knowledge and expert status; remain current with internal and external product developments and innovations. Attend local or national conferences as appropriate. Identify potential product enhancements and relay to appropriate internal and external partners.
- Collaborate with Product Manager on internal training needs and provide input into instructional design and use cases.
- Serve as an escalation point for post-implementation issues with existing clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
Requirements
- 5-7 years’ experience in Healthcare systems, Healthcare Financial Technology or Healthcare Revenue Cycle required.
- Proficient knowledge of revenue cycle management and requirements is preferred.
- Banking Experience preferred in Treasury Management or Payments.
- Proficient is Excel, Word and PowerPoint
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.Please click here for a list of benefits for which this position is eligible.
